🗣️ “A Particular Set of Skills” — The #Nextdoor Monologue (Parody)
#Nextdoor…
I don’t know who you think I am.
I don’t work for you. I’m not one of your anonymous moderators.
I’m just a neighbor — a very persistent neighbor — with a particular set of skills.
Skills I’ve acquired over a very long career… like reading shareholder reports, noticing when metrics don’t match engagement, and asking inconvenient questions on every platform where you can’t turn comments off/on.
Skills that make me a polite nightmare for companies that avoid transparency.
If you fix your platform now — if you open communication, remove the Mount Pleasant Lead moderator, give back to the community, allow comments on LinkedIn, and actually engage with your community — that will be the end of this.
I will not repost.
I will not question.
I will cheer you on as a shareholder who wants you to succeed.
But if you don’t…
I will continue to post.
I will continue to analyze.
I will continue to highlight every contradiction between your mission and your actions.
And I will do it calmly… professionally… and publicly.
Because I’m not going anywhere.
Not on #LinkedIn.
Not on #Facebook.
Not on #X.
And definitely not from your shareholder registry.
So #Nextdoor & Nirav… Be on guard. Not from danger — but from accountability.
