🫢 “Everybody Freeze!” — A Fictional Scene Inside #Nextdoor HQ
Sometimes the silence from a company says more than the words they won’t say. So here’s the fictional scene I imagine happening inside Nextdoor HQ these days:
Nirav (whispering urgently to the entire staff):
“Okay team… listen closely. Nobody move—nobody post. Nobody breathe loudly. If we stay perfectly still… Niel might go away.”
Employee #1 (whispering back):
“But sir… shouldn’t we engage with shareholders? Or the community?”
Nirav:
“Shhh! If we don’t respond, he can’t tag us. This is an advanced leadership strategy.”
Employee #2:
“What about the #Netflix partnership post? Or the holiday content?”
Nirav:
“NO. Do not poke the bear. Not a single post, comment, or reaction until the ‘Niel Situation’ blows over.”
Intern Healpmee:
“Sir, he already tagged you again…”
(Entire room gasps. An elf falls off a rolling chair even though elves don’t work there.)
Nirav:
“…Everybody, remain absolutely still. Maybe he can’t see us if we don’t move.”
Meanwhile, here I am — a shareholder, a commenter, a neighbor — still waiting for an actual conversation. Silence isn’t a strategy. Hiding isn’t leadership. And ignoring your own mission doesn’t build community. I’m not disappearing. Not today. Not tomorrow. And definitely not because someone at HQ is holding still like a corporate statue.

📈 From $1.48 to $2.01 — Since I Became a Shareholder, #NXDR Is Up 36%
(Coincidence? Or the power of asking the tough questions?)
When I first purchased shares of #NXDR, the stock sat at $1.48. Today, it closed at $2.01.
That’s a 36% increase since I became a shareholder who isn’t afraid to ask difficult, uncomfortable, and necessary questions about transparency, leadership, engagement, and accountability.
Coincidence? Maybe. But sometimes the market reacts when someone finally highlights what others overlook.
I’ve been consistent:
• Asking for transparency
• Calling out contradictions
• Highlighting suppressed engagement
• Challenging leadership silence
• Advocating for shareholders, advertisers & actual neighbors
And the stock? Well… it hasn’t been silent.
To be clear, I don’t take credit for price movement — but I do believe in the value of accountability. When a company is pushed to evolve, investors notice. Markets notice. People notice.
And I’m not done.

👀 The 6th #Nextdoor Employee Has Viewed My Profile — Why the Sudden Curiosity?
Today around 3:00 PM EST, yet another #Nextdoor employee — this time a software developer — viewed my LinkedIn profile.
That makes six employees in total. And it raises a simple question:
Why?
Are they trying to size up “the enemy?” Are they monitoring a shareholder who refuses to stay quiet? Or… are they starting to see the light about the concerns I’ve been raising — concerns about transparency, accountability, engagement suppression, and leadership silence?
When a company that denies open dialogue suddenly becomes very interested in the person asking the tough questions, it usually means one of two things:
1️⃣ They’re trying to figure out how to make the noise go away
—or—
2️⃣ They’re realizing the noise is actually a signal they should pay attention to
Either way, I remain exactly where I’ve always been:
Open to dialogue. Ready for transparency. And invested — literally — in the platform’s future.
If #Nextdoor leadership (Nirav Tolia, Sarah Leary, Craig Lisowski, etc.) wants to talk, my door isn’t just open… It’s been open the whole time.

Scene: Santa’s Workshop. Elves are wrapping gifts. Reindeer are unionizing.
Santa invites Nirav to sit by the fire.
Santa:
“Ho ho ho! Nirav, welcome to the North Pole. What can I get you for Christmas this year?”
Nirav:
“Santa… all I want for Christmas is simple. For Niel to stop tagging me on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, the Flammlandia Casino scoreboard—everywhere.”
Santa:
“Oh dear. The elves told me Niel is on the ‘Intensely Persistent’ list this year.”
Nirav:
“He is! He keeps reposting everything. Even when I turn off comments on LinkedIn, he finds… new places to engage. It’s exhausting.”
Santa:
“Well, son, have you tried talking to him? Communication is on many wish lists this year.”
Nirav:
“Santa. Please. That’s not how we do things. My Christmas wish is to keep everything the same. No feedback on posts, same moderators forever, and a peaceful silence across the land.”
Santa:
“Ah, the classic ‘holiday mute button’ request. Very popular among CEOs.”
Nirav:
“And while we’re at it, could you make Niel… go away? Or at least make his Wi-Fi spotty?”
Santa (laughing):
“Oh ho ho ho! Nirav, even I can’t stop Niel’s Wi-Fi. The man posts from cruise ships in the middle of the ocean.”
Nirav:
“Then at least hide my X profile. He keeps tagging me! I wake up in sweats.”
Santa:
“Well, remember, Christmas isn’t just about keeping things quiet. It’s about showing up for your community, giving back, and actually listening. Have you tried that part?”
Nirav:
“…Listening? To Niel?? Santa, please, be serious.”
Santa:
“Ho ho ho… maybe that’s your lesson this season. Because the more you hide… the more he’ll post.”
Elf Whispering to Santa:
“Um, Santa? Niel just posted from your Wi-Fi network.”
Santa:
