Wrong Number, Right on Cue

Out of the blue, a text popped up on my Google number from 615-965-8010: “How are you?”

And the conversation delivered: a name, a photo, a question about my name, and even a location. That’s practically a full punch card for the Wrong Number Scam Café.

Then came the coffee invitation. Miami, apparently. I said I lived there too and asked if they’d buy me a coffee tonight.

I haven’t heard back yet. Maybe they’re busy checking their calendar—or looking for a café that accepts suspiciously charming strangers and Google Voice numbers.

Reminder: If a random texter gets friendly fast, you don’t owe them your name, location, photos, or personal details. Keep the coffee money. And maybe the conversation, too.
